Ed is an Executive Creative Director and Designer who is passionate about design and skilled at translating complex stories into compelling campaigns. As owner and Creative Director of Creative Associates, he has extensive management experience of a team of 20+, executing projects for local and global clients. Personally and as Creative Director, Ed has built new brands and helped extend existing ones through concept, design and development of print and online content and campaigns (including social media and podcasts), and via motion, audio, video and animation. Clients include Hitachi, Verizon, SAS, Cree, Premier Research, IBM, Avaya, Nortel, Cisco, and others.

BY THE NUMBERS

Nortel was a Canadian multi-national telecommunications and data networking equipment manufacturer and Creative Associates’ largest clients for 16 years. CA was part of a team that included Nortel’s internal marketers and their large global and agencies that helped drive Nortel revenue to over $30 billion.

Creative Associates helped Verizon promote their Internet of Things Solutions through a series of 10 animated videos. The videos were used as part of an integrated campaign that led to a quarterly increase of revenue of 21%.

Moncure Megasite was renamed and rebranded by Creative Associates to become Triangle Innovation Point. Shortly after, TIP announced the biggest economic development deal in North Carolina history with VinFast, a Vietnamese electric car company.

Genworth Mortgage Insurance changed its name to Enact and called upon Creative Associates to create an awareness campaign that also acted as a Summer Sweepstakes for its customers. Over 10,000 customers received brand reinforcement and over 3,500 participated in the Sweepstakes.

Helping small local clients is always fun. Creative Associates created a video for Sola Coffee Cafe shortly after their grand opening which extended their reach and popularity in their early years.

Quintiles (now IQvia) was the largest contract research organization in the world when Creative Associates developed and deployed this campaign to bring awareness and increased contracts to Quintiles’ laboratories in emerging countries. The results were impressive.

Hitachi, Ltd. is a Japanese multinational conglomerate corporation headquartered in Chiyoda, Tokyo, Japan. Creative Associates worked with the subsidiary, Hitachi Consulting, on many projects including three interactive sales tools. These were used directly by sales people, on the Hitachi website and at trade show.

Asymchem is a Contract Development & Manufacturing organization headquartered in China that provides integrated solutions across all stages of drug development and commercialization. CA worked with Asymchem marketing to expand and develop a brand presence in the US and EU.

Ed Collevecchio is a highly accomplished professional with a diverse background in the field of Graphic Design and Advertising. He obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Communication Arts from East Carolina University, where he honed his skills and developed a strong foundation in the industry.

Ed’s early career found him on the corporate path, joining an S&P 500 firm in Atlanta, Georgia that developed products and services for the financial industry. Surrounded by award-winning co-workers and the talented Atlanta advertising scene, he learned quickly and soon made his mark showcasing his problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail. At the same time, recognizing his passion for sharing knowledge, Ed served as an adjunct professor of Graphic Design at Georgia State University allowing him to shape the minds of aspiring designers and to impart his practical insights and industry experience.

Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, Ed established his own company, Creative Associates, in the expanding technology hub, Raleigh, North Carolina. In Raleigh, he and Creative Associates were well-positioned to help start-ups establish their brands as well as help global tech and pharma companies expand their reach. Invaluable experience both in-house and on the agency side has contributed to Ed’s ability to cultivate long-standing relationships with clients like Nortel, Verizon, Premier Research and Hitachi and to understand their unique needs and perspectives. Through his visionary leadership and astute business acumen, he nurtured the company’s growth to a workforce of over 20 talented individuals.

On the personal side, Ed and his wife (and high school sweetheart) Susan, feel like they made a good decision when they moved to beautiful Raleigh, where they raised three children — all in the ad business now!
